'Leave the Sun's Sight' is a song about the narrator being turned into a vampire at the start of the song, first wanted to be staked by his significant other, not wanting to harm her. She ends up not staking the narrator, so the narrator has to live a life of staying away from the sun and hiding, living a pathetic life. The narrator soon sees himself thirsting for blood, however resisting the urge to kill anyone, and rather spending an eternity not to meet another person, fearing that his bloodlust will instinctively kill people. Then the narrator, out of desperation, starts kill everyone. He ends up kill entire towns, and leaving trails of blood and corpses everywhere. This song also has parallels to my personal want for social isolation in the chorus, where it talks about wanting to 'leave the sun's sight' (leave society), to avoid any social situations that would cause me any harm.

LYRICS:
Can you, shove this stake into my heart, before it's too late (Too late)
Before the son comes up, will you take the pain away from me
The black sky haunts me, the bright sky haunts me
And what you can't see, is my greatest enemy
I want to leave the sun's sight
So I don't burn up and die
What a pathetic life
I want to run away and hide
Receding into the night
Drown me in holy water
Leave the sun's sight
This never-ending thirst for blood is clawing at my soul
So I'm better off spending eternity all alone
My bloodshot eyes tells all the times I stayed up late at night
And my blood-soaked clothes shows that I've been
killing everyone in my sight
I want to leave the sun's sight
So I don't burn up and die
What a pathetic life
I want to run away and hide
Receding into the nine
Drown me in holy water
Leave the sun's sight
This desolate town, is covered in blood
Well take a look at this murder scene
There are body bags and a couple of spleens
The culprit of the crime is quite obscene, it's me
Can't wait to meet at the mausoleum
This desolate town, is covered in blood
Well take a look at this murder scene
There are body bags and a couple of spleens
The culprit of the crime is quite obscene, it's me
Can't wait to meet at the mausoleum
I want to leave the sun's sight
So I don't burn up and die
What a pathetic life
I want to run away and hide
Receding into the nine
Drown me in holy water
Leave the sun's sight
